• The version of the app (Settings → About in iOS Settings → Apps → Last Scroll)
• Your iOS version
• The model of iPhone or iPad you are using

Common issues

The shield never engages

Make sure:

1. You granted Family Controls authorization on first launch. (Settings → Screen Time → Communication & Content Restrictions → Apps → Last Scroll should show “Allowed”.)
2. You’ve selected at least one app or category as a distraction in the app.
3. You’ve tapped Start day at least once.
4. The combined use of those apps reaches 120 minutes during the day.

If all of these are true and the shield still never fires, try turning Screen Time off and on once in iOS Settings, then restart the app.

The emergency unlock won’t accept what I typed

The phrase must match exactly except for case and surrounding whitespace. Punctuation matters. Read it carefully.

My streak reset unexpectedly

A streak resets to zero on any day where the shield is triggered, including days where you used the emergency unlock. If you see a reset you don’t think you caused, please email me a description of what happened.

How do I delete my leaderboard data

Email cheddar.lebel@gmail.com from any address with your anonymous ID (visible inside the app on Settings) and we’ll delete matching rows within 30 days.
